I Have a Desk/Couch Problem

See this? This is our living room (TV is in the right hand corner off of the photo). Usually, the couches and tables are pushed back to the wall of windows, but we moved everything up as an experiment.

Question: Should we put Dave's desk behind the couch and use it as a couch table (picture frames/vase on it) when he's not working (monitors stored under the desk unless being used).

Reasoning: He works on videos from home A LOT, and now that we both work full time, we don't see each other, so the last thing we need is him in the office and me in the living room all night.

There's a poll in my side bar. Please vote! Yes, this is THAT important to me.

Si Senora. I love being in the same room with Adam even if he's studying and I'm doing something random like lactating.

First of all, pretty living room! Secondly, I think that putting his desk behind the couch is a great space solution and will give you guys more time in proximity to one another. Is Dave able to do work if there's background noise from the TV? That would be my only hesitation.

I like this idea. I feel the same way about Roger... When he's athome, we want to be near him, even if he's working. Just being in the same room (even if we're not talking because he's working) makes me FEEL like we've spent more time together.

Do it! If you end up hating it.. you can always move it somewhere else!

It can't hurt to try it. I just wonder if you will want to keep changing from desk to sofa table by putting the vase and pictures on then the computer etc..
