Hair: The Bane of My Existence

My sister is a great stylist, so of course, I have the worst hair EVER. I can get cuts whenever I want and try whatever I want, but I hate it. It never looks good. Well, whatever...new summer 'do, here I come.

If you would like to vote on a style (or combination of styles), please leave a comment. It will really help me out. I am also open to additional suggestions. The contenders (with qualifying notes):

1. This style, but more length. Probably covering neck:

2. This with a bit more length:

3. This, again, with a bit more length:

4. Her hair looks thin, like mine, so I picked it...but shorter...just past shoulders:

5. This is probably my favorite cut. I'm just really scared to go that short. Would it work longer?

Help.

I'm always scared to get my hair cut short (like shorter than would fit into a ponytail) because I don't ALWAYS have time/opportunity/care to style it in the morning. I have found, however, that short cuts fit me and I love them. I do like the last cut. And I think it would look nice on you. I also think it would work a little longer, but you'd probably have to use a straightener every day to get it to look "just so"... which would be out the the question for me... ha ha ha. I can't remember if your hair is stick straight naturally or has some curl...hmmf. I don't think I've ever really seen you w/o your hair done! tee hee! I wasn't much help. Sorry. I like the Olson twin 'do too, but again it looks difficult to keep up on a daily basis... perhaps that is only MY issue, though, not your's.

what a great last blog, thanks for sharing that. As for the hair, i like the last one, but it probably will only look like that the day you get it done. Well, I am totally in freak out mode since the shower is sat. and our house is a total construction mess. FUN!

kate blanchett's hair is really cute... but, I wouldn't do it. you know why. that hair is really SHORT. Kiss ponytail holders goodbye and say hello to headbands, baretts, bobby pins and multitudes of clips to keep it out of your face during the summer. If it was winter I might say do it... but you know? hot/sweat/hair/face eh.

I think the mary kate/ashley hairstyle could and would definitely work shorter.

I also think you could definitely pull off the Charlize Theron style - and i don't think you need any more length then what is there - that is the longest of the short styles you showed.

Most of these will require some straightening/curling, but you already do that so i think either would work.

I just chopped 5 inches off of my hair so it's really short right now and I love it so much. I personally like the Katie Holmes.

I think the Charlize Theron one is the cutest. I feel like you've had the Olson one before, the Theron one is a new one for you. I also like the Reese.

No offense, but I think your hair is too thin for the Holmes one. I like it a lot, though. I actually used that picture for my haircut in the fall.

I have katie's haricut - have had it for six mos. and it's super easy and wonderful. I have a round face with a strong jaw line and lots of naturally crazy, but fine, hair (it's wavy, but not the same wave everywhere, so I use a straightener). I have more bangs than she does in this picture, but I sweep them to the side. Go for it. You'll love it!

I think that you should not go so short. I like jennifer aniston's look from back in the day. The one that was a medium length had a flat shiny look to it. I will email you a pic.
